What is Hell like?
Torment, burning, weeping, gnashing of teeth, outer darkness, unquenchable fire, and a bottomless pit are just some of the descriptive words used in the Holy Bible to describe Hell. Here are some verses of scripture to describe Hell.
Luke 16:24 (KJV): And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Amos 4:11 (KJV): I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
Mat 24:51 (KJV): And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 25:30 (KJV): And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 3:12 (KJV): Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Rev 9:2 (KJV): And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
